WAVE exhibition in London and Seoul 自己 zi ji (self) July-Sept. 2006 - Jonathan's work has been included in a joint exhibition at University of the Arts, London and M-Post Gallery, Seoul, Korea. The theme was 'hybridity, identity and the self'. Jonathan wrote the following paragraph for the catalogue: 'The Chinese word for ‘self’ is made from 2 characters, the first of which originates as a picture of the nose. Years ago to indicate oneself a Chinese person would touch their nose. This print, mounted on a traditional Chinese scroll, is from a short film of the same name. When asked to touch their nose on camera, this seemingly simple act, sometimes revealed great confidence, sometimes self consciousness and sometimes sudden moments of identity confusion.'
